Keep hope alive. Be strengthened in mind body and spirit knowing that the Lord God is your hope. This the kind of hope that does not disappoint. Nothing is too hard for God to do on your behalf so make your requests known to Him. Leave your requests with Him and walk in peace each day.
Jesus said believers are the light of the world. We have been given light not to cover it up, not to dim it up, not to tone it down, but to let it shine and shine brightly each and every day. Never miss an opportunity to glorify your Father by allowing your light to shine. Never make excuses for your bright light, never apologize for shining. Just shine. Others will come to your light, they will be rescued from the darkness and will begin to see clearly. As Christ followers, ask the Lord to allow your light to shine brighter and brighter each day and not be diminished by the world, the flesh or the devil. You shine when you share your faith, help someone in need, speak life to someone who’s lost hope, bring encouragement to a broken heart and pray for those who oppose themselves. I challenge you to be who you are: light to the world.
If God woke you up today, He probably has a plan for you. A good plan. Seek Him early and ask Him to direct, guide and lead you as you go about your daily activities. There is always someone who can benefit from your God surrendered life. Be a blessing to others and expect God to perfect everything that concerns you.
God is good and He is developing goodness in us. Goodness is love in action, kindness in action. Let us not love today only in words, but in deeds as well. Reach out in love to someone in need today. Do whatever God leads you to do whether its speak a word of encouragement, offer a smile of friendship or even sacrificially bring a gift of groceries to a needy family.
Gal. 5:22-23
Happy are the people whose God is the Lord. We can be happy each and every day. Not necessarily happy about our current circumstances which may not be pleasing —although we are reminded that these situations are only temporary so why fret—but we can be happy that we are children of the Most High God, the King of kings. We are happy we are joint heirs with Christ Jesus, happy our sins are forgiven and thrown into the sea of forgetfulness. We can be happy for the life God has given us, the good plans He has for us, happy that we are here! Be happy today. Simply trust and obey God for there is no other way to be happy in Jesus.
Don’t wait to experience joy to be thankful. Be thankful right now in the midst of the issue or situation, then you will experience joy whether the situation changes or not. Thankfulness opens up the heart to live free of carrying burdens. Thankfulness, the recognizing of God’s faithfulness, releases you from worry and the struggle to “fix it.” Thankfulness causes you to rely on a good God who has begun a good work in you and will complete it. Speak out and/or write down what you are thankful to God for. You will find your spirits lifting and joy coming even before you can finish.
Receive the gift of God’s perfect peace. A peace that surpasses your understanding. A peace the world cannot give. A peace that guards your heart and mind. In every circumstance today and throughout this week may you be aware of God’s supernatural peace. May you not be afraid of anything or anyone. May you stay calm and rest in His peace.
How do you determine God’s will for your life? It’s not as difficult as you might think. God Himself will lead you. He gives you nudges and hints if you are open to His leading. What is it that you do well? What is it that you enjoy doing? What is it you would do or are doing for no monetary compensation? Those are your hints. God will give you the desires of your hearts meaning it is He who gives you what to desire. All you need do is say yes to God. Don’t worry about how it’s all going to unfold just do what is necessary to be done now. Take steps of faith, take action. Prepare yourself by going to school to learn more about what you want to do; accept an internship in your field of study. Practice what you want to perfect. God will be with you as you ask for His help to do His will. Remember, He’s a big God so even if you misstep He can always course correct! Trust God, allow Him to be God in your life and enjoy who you are in Him.
What does it mean to trust God? It means to take Him at His Word. If He said it, it will come to pass for He is not a man that He should lie. It means you can depend on God to bring you through any difficulty in life because He is faithful. It means to be anxious for nothing because He’s got this. It means to pray to Him because He will hear and answer. It means you can lay your head down on a pillow at night and experience sweet sleep because He’s watching over you and handling everything that concerns you. It means you can wake refreshed each morning because He’s kept you through the night and has plans for your victory each new day. It means you can walk in peace all through the day assured of God’s provision, love and mercy. It means in Him you live and move and have your being!!
Pr. 3:5-6
November reminds you to have an attitude of gratitude. It symbolizes a change of season in which preparation is being made to throw off burdens, cast off dead things and release weights you’ve carried for far too long. Every leaf that falls should remind you that there is spectacular beauty in letting go and letting God. Let Him paint the autumn canvas of your life. Be thankful that in every season of your life God has a plan and it is always beautiful so walk in faith and peace with God.
Are you bearing fruit? Will your fruit remain? As a believer and ambassador for Christ your fruit must grow so all will be able to partake from you. The fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. You can only bear fruit, more fruit and much fruit as you stay connected to the vine- Jesus. I challenge you today to be a fruit bearer. Someone else needs want you have. Let your fruit mature, be visible and then give it away freely. People should be able to eat encouragement, peace, love, joy, etc. from your life. As a Christ follower, peoples lives should be sweeter just because you are around.
God is NOT out of miracles! That would be like the world out of air. Miracles are what God does. And not only does, but delights in doing. Keep the faith, don't grow weary in well doing. Expect your miracle. Have an awesome day.
The Word of God reminds us to forget the things that are behind and press forward to the things ahead of us. This is wisdom because you can't move forward looking back. I pray you see any perceived mistakes as lessons to be learned, then shake them off and walk free of your past. God has a glorious future ahead of you.
Prayer is essential to living the Christian life. It is in prayer that we discover the will and heart of God. It is in prayer that we receive peace and joy and strength for each new day. Prayer allows us to commune with the Living God, to talk to Him and allow Him to talk to us. Never cease to pray. As the song writer wrote: "Oh what needless pain we bear all because we do not carry everything to God in prayer." Continue in prayer. Continue trusting God. He hears, He knows, He sees, He answers prayers. Have an awesome day. Expect God.
Just wanted to remind you to put the oxygen mask on your face first. Eat right, take your vitamin supplements, get enough sleep and exercise. You must take care of you so you can minister effectively to your family, friends and those in your area of influence. When you find yourself overwhelmed by all the things you want to do and all the things you have to do, and all the things you need to do -- take a praise break. Let go and let God set the day's priorities. Remember one of the enemy's strategies to defeat us is to overwhelm us with "doing." But it's in the "being" that we find rest, peace and joy. Enjoy your day.
Good morning means a whole lot! It means God woke you up to see another day. And since He woke you up, it means He has work for you to do. It means He is providing another day, healing another day, loving another day. It means He wants you to walk with confidence and quiet obedience to His Lordship. God's got this. Whatever the "this" is-- It's in His control. You are in His Loving arms and therefore it is a good morning! Start the morning with praise, thanksgiving and prayer and expect God to show up, expect Him to use you for His glory. Good morning!
God does not want you to worry. Negative reoccurring thoughts, the "what if's" scenarios that cause you to focus on the worst possible outcomes and your eyes constantly fixed on the problem -- all these are not of God. Jesus plainly states in Matthew 6 that you are not to worry about your life. Why? Because you have a loving Heavenly Father who not only loves you, but knows exactly what you need, when you need it and has promised to provide it for you. Worry steals productive time that can better be spent praising God and thanking Him for His goodness. May your faith overtake worry, may your trust in God replace anxiety and may the peace of God keep and guard your heart and mind.
Let's be reminded that the Lord God Almighty is still in charge of this world. Jesus is still King of kings and Lord of lords. The Most High is sovereign over all the kingdoms on earth and He gives them to anyone He wishes. God can turn the heart of any leader and can use anyone He desires. Remember the lessons of King Nebuchadnezzar and King Cyrus. Our responsibility is to seek God's face and to pray for our leaders. Be encouraged. God is still God and He is still good.
We are admonished not to be anxious about anything, but in all things-- pray! Talk to your Loving Father. Make your requests known to Him. He hears, He answers. He guards our hearts and minds and keeps us in perfect peace. Remember to always begin prayer with praise. Thank God for His goodness and mercy. Our future is bright because it is in His Loving Hands. End prayer with praise and adoration as well. There will be no room left for worry. Have an awesome day.
God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind. Remember that as the world succumbs to its deepest, darkest fears. We don't have to if we learn to dwell in the secret place of the Most High. If we abide under the wings of Almighty. There --we are kept safe from all harm, hurt or danger. There --a 1,000 may fall at our side and 10,000 at our right hand BUT it shall not come near us. There --we are not afraid of the fiery darts of the enemy. How do we get there? How do we stay there? Relationship and connection. We must have had a life altering relationship with the Living God. We must BE a Christian. Not a carnal, casual only on Sunday Christian, but one who connects to God every day in prayer and dialogue; one whose lifestyle is Christ-like. Then we experience the God who is a very present help in the time of trouble. God is faithful to keep His Word of protection over our lives. Walk in God consciousness and confidence today. God is with you.
